AquiferOps Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7 August 2026
AquiferOps LLC ("AquiferOps," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website at aquiferops.com and our software service (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to visitors to our website, people who join our early-access waitlist, and users of the AquiferOps application. It does not change any separate agreement between AquiferOps and a customer firm; where a customer agreement or data-processing addendum applies, that agreement governs the handling of that firm's data.
Information we collect
Information you provide to us:
- Waitlist / early access — your name, email address, company name, and role, when you request early access.
- Account information — details needed to create and manage an account, such as name, work email, and organization.
- Billing information — subscription and payment details. Payments are processed by our payment provider Stripe; we do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Customer content — the project, site, sampling, and environmental data that a customer firm and its users enter or upload to the Service. This content belongs to the customer firm.
- Text-alert contacts — where a customer firm chooses to receive operational alerts by text, the mobile number it nominates, together with the firm's record that the person agreed to be texted at that number: the date, how they agreed, and which of the firm's staff recorded it. A number is not stored without that record.
- Communications — information you provide when you contact us for support or otherwise correspond with us.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage and device data — such as log data, browser and device type, pages viewed, and general interaction with the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — as described in the Cookie Policy below.
Information from third parties:
- Our authentication provider, Clerk and payment provider, Stripe provide us limited information needed to sign you in and process payments.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service;
- Onboard users and provide customer support;
- Process subscriptions, invoices, and payments;
- Communicate with you about the Service, including service and early-access updates;
- Understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
- Detect, prevent, and address security issues, fraud, or misuse; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
Customer content and our role
For data a customer firm enters or uploads to the Service, AquiferOps acts as a service provider / processor on that firm's behalf. We use customer content only to provide and support the Service, as directed by the customer, and as permitted by our customer agreement. We do not sell customer content, and we do not sell personal information.
How we share information
We share information only as needed to run the Service:
- Service providers / sub-processors — vendors that host and operate the Service on our behalf, including AWS (hosting and email delivery), Clerk (authentication), Stripe (payments), and Telnyx (text-message delivery). They may access information only to perform services for us and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.
- Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AquiferOps, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Text messages and mobile opt-in
No mobile opt-in or text message consent will be shared with third parties or affiliates. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers or text-message consent for anyone else's marketing. The only parties that handle a number are the messaging provider that delivers the message on our behalf and the recipient's own mobile carrier.
Full terms for text messaging, including how to stop them, are in the SMS Terms of Service below.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in the Cookie Policy below.
Data retention
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, and then delete or de-identify it. Customer content is retained and deleted in accordance with the applicable customer agreement.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to limit certain uses. To make a request, contact us at info@aquiferops.com. We will respond as required by applicable law and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
Children's privacy
The Service is a business tool intended for professional use and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.
Where we operate
AquiferOps is based in the United States and the Service is intended for users in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new effective date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.

AquiferOps SMS Terms of Service
Effective date: 7 August 2026
These terms apply to text messages sent by AquiferOps LLC ("AquiferOps," "we," "us," or "our"). They are written to satisfy the mobile carriers' requirements for business text messaging and should be read together with the Privacy Policy above.
The types of messages we send
AquiferOps sends informational, operational alerts only. These are automated messages triggered by a customer firm's own monitoring settings — for example, that a monitored reading has crossed a threshold the firm defined, or that a result has arrived. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages, and we do not send conversational messages.
Consent
If you consent to receive informational SMS from AquiferOps, you agree to receive automated operational alert messages from us at the mobile number provided.
A number is added by the customer firm that engaged you, and our software will not store a number unless that firm records that you agreed to be texted at it, when you agreed, and how. Consent is specific to the number given; if the number changes, a fresh agreement is required before any message is sent to the new one.
Standard disclosures
- Reply STOP to opt out; reply HELP for support.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- Messaging frequency may vary — it depends on the alert rules the customer firm has configured and on conditions at the monitored site.
- Visit https://aquiferops.com/privacy.html to see our Privacy Policy and terms and conditions.
How to stop messages
Reply STOP to any message to stop further messages to that number. You may also ask the customer firm that nominated your number to remove it, or contact us at info@aquiferops.com.
Carrier liability
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
AquiferOps Cookie Policy
Effective date: 7 August 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AquiferOps uses cookies and similar technologies on aquiferops.com and the Service.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help sites work, remember your preferences, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. "Similar technologies" include things like local storage and pixels.
Types of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary — required for the site and app to function, including keeping you securely signed in via Clerk. These cannot be turned off in our systems.
- Functional — remember your preferences and settings to improve your experience.
- Analytics — we use a privacy-friendly analytics service that counts visits and page views without setting cookies and without building a profile of you. It does not identify you, does not track you across other websites, and no data is used for advertising.
- Advertising — we do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by the providers that help us run the Service — for example Clerk (sign-in) and Stripe (payment pages). These providers process data under their own privacy policies.
A specific list of the cookies in use
Our public website at aquiferops.com sets no cookies of its own. Within the AquiferOps application, the cookies in use are those required to keep you securely signed in, set by our authentication provider Clerk, and those set by Stripe on payment pages. A detailed table of each cookie, its provider, purpose and duration will be published here as the application's feature set is finalized.
How to control cookies
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and set your browser to warn you before accepting cookies. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from working. Because our analytics sets no cookies and we use no advertising cookies, no cookie consent banner is required.
Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy as the Service evolves. Questions: info@aquiferops.com.
